Covered Outdoor Batting Cages 4,538 s.f. PROJECT STATEMENT For many players in Houma LA, soccer is a family-favorite past time for all ages. Though it is a popular sport, the city of Houma does not currently host any facility to play in year-round despite a looming threat of rain throughout the season. Soccer Station is a solution to the problem being the first indoor soccer field in Houma for all players to utilize throughout the seasons. The exterior is the first eye-catching experience a person wil have. The metal panel facade serves as a shield from the blazing southern sun and rain while still allowing onlookers to view the outdoor soccer field. It also serves to break up the monolith of the pre-fabricated building which distinguishes itself from the rest. The aminities hosted on the interior enable a soccer teams full capabilities by providing 831 s.f. of workout space, including a Multi-Ball soccer simulation system. A 441 s.f. meeting room can be used for the team to plan their practice and a small gift shop is there to host merchandise for each team. There is a place for all soccer teams to practice at Soccer Station. Parents of the teams can rest easy as it includes a designated viewing area with a kid-friendly seating area as well as an area for parents who still need to work and charge their devices. Pre-made concessions are provided on site for a quick energy refill. |
