COLLABORATION

Great solutions are owned by teams.
We believe that every project is unique and requires careful selection of individual talents to create the right ‘super team’ that will ensure that the client’s needs are met and the original design goals are realized.
We team up with engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, craftsmen and artists. Architects are the conductors who are responsible for pulling the whole ensemble together to compose the owner's inspiration into a
harmonious composition.

Every team is led by the firm's Principal Architect Shelley Olivier, AIA who earned her architecture degree from Louisiana State University in 2006. She is a registered architect in the state of Louisiana and a Certified NCARB Professional. Her career started at Performance Architecture of New Orleans. From 2006-2011, she was part of the design team on several key projects for the firm including the Louisiana State University Marching Band Rehearsal Hall, New Orleans Bienville School, Performance & Academic Buildings in San Juan, Puerto Rico and James Madison University Center for the Arts. She led the design team on rebuilding Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic School's Early Learning Center and Middle School Facility after Hurricane Katrina. In addition, designed the OLPS Parish Adoration Chapel housing memorabilia salvaged from flooded chapels. This career milestone not only ignited a passion for education and public building design but also brought into fruition the architect's responsibility to society and their role in building better communities. She dedicated five years to the firm then moved to The Merlin Group of Houma to reconnect with her hometown community. While at The Merlin Group, she led the design team through several career pivoting projects such as the HL Bourgeious Freshmen Center, Grand Caillou Middle and Southdown Elementary School. She opened Archestrate in 2018 and has since assisted the community in building new schools and with Transformative renovations. Her experience covers a variety of project types including residential, commercial, governmental, interiors, retail, religious, academic and performing art facilities.
Her practice relies on the digital design process utilizing prototyping, analysis and visualization to unearth better design solutions. Optimized data management and documentation bridges the gap between design intent and built form.

LINDSEY AUTHEMENT, NCARB
Intern Architect
Lindsey graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Master’s program in 2024 and participated as a graduate assistant through 2023-2024 school year. In her education, she was shortlisted to the top 50 participants in a global wide competition for her project entitled “Lung of the Forest”. This project took the language of natural winds and visualized it through the material envelope and structure, creating a natural phenomenon within the Latvian forest. With this, she brings a fresh design and planning perspective to our office and believes that the process of design is just as important as the finished product.
While practicing with Archestrate this past year, she has been involved in all aspects of the architectural process from meeting with clients to construction administration. Working under Archestrate her experience is evergreen in commercial and educational projects including private sports facilities, places of worship, office spaces, small commercial renovations, and public education. These projects range in size from 1,000 SF to 80,000 SF and have been worked on throughout various stages of their development.
She currently holds an NCARB record and is actively working on advancing her professional career as a licensure candidate.
